A RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING RIZAL POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE DIRECTOR, POLICE COLONEL FELIPE B. MARAGGUN, PNP TAYTAY CHIEF, PLTCOL MARLO SOLERO, THE MUNICIPAL PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT, BARANGAY STA. ANA PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE, TASK FORCE ADL, STPSAT AND VOLUNTEER FORCE MULTIPLIERS FOR THEIR COLLECTIVE HEROISM IN HANDLING THE JANUARY 25, 2025 HOSTAGE TAKING INCIDENT AT C6 ROAD, TAYTAY, RIZAL
WHEREAS, on January 25, 2025 at around 7 p.m., a one-year-old baby was taken hostage by her own father along C-6 Road in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal;
WHEREAS, the hostage taker held the one-year old baby for more than an hour, pressing a karambit knife against the victim’s neck and nape;
WHEREAS, the police personnel, headed by Rizal Police Provincial Director, Police Colonel Felipe B. Maraggun and Taytay Police Chief Marlo Solero, negotiated in a peaceful and calm manner until the 26-year-old was persuaded to surrender to the authorities and successfully rescued the suspect’s daughter;
WHEREAS, Rizal Police Provincial Director, PCol. Felipe B. Maraggun and Taytay Police Chief Marlo Solero together with the PNP personnel, Municipal Public Safety Department, Barangay Public Safety Office, Task Force ADL, STPSAT, and other Force Multipliers have displayed an undaunted courage and heroism, and unwavering dedication to preserving life and protecting the innocent, thus deserving this commendation;
WHEREAS, the Local Government of Taytay under the leadership of Mayor Allan Martine S. De Leon and the Sangguniang Bayan commend all the police personnel and other responders for their heroic response in successfully resolving the hostage situation through tactical expertise and skilled negotiation;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, hereby HONORS AND COMMENDS RIZAL POLICE PROVINCIAL OFFICE DIRECTOR, POLICE COLONEL FELIPE B. MARAGGUN, PNP TAYTAY CHIEF, PLTCOL MARLO SOLERO, THE MUNICIPAL PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT, BARANGAY STA. ANA PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE, TASK FORCE ADL, STPSAT AND VOLUNTEER FORCE MULTIPLIERS FOR THEIR COLLECTIVE HEROISM IN HANDLING THE JANUARY 25, 2025 HOSTAGE TAKING INCIDENT AT C6 ROAD, TAYTAY, RIZAL.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned offices for their information.
