Resolution No. 345 series of 2023

A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE NEWLY ELECTED LIGA NG MGA BARANGAY PRESIDENT ROSELLER Z. VALERA, PUNONG BARANGAY OF BARANGAY SAN JUAN, AS EX-OFFICIO MEMBER OF THE 12TH SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF TAYTAY, RIZAL

WHEREAS, Section 494 of RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991 states that: “The duly elected presidents of the liga at the municipal, city and provincial levels, including the component cities and municipalities of Metropolitan Manila, shall serve as ex-officio members of the sangguniang bayan, sangguniang panlungsod, sangguniang panlalawigan, respectively. They shall serve as such only during their term of office as presidents of the liga chapters, which in no case shall be beyond the term of office of the sanggunian concerned”;

WHEREAS, the Barangay and SK Election was held last October 30, 2023;

WHEREAS, an orientation and election for the Officials of the Liga ng mga Barangay of Taytay, Rizal was conducted by the DILG Taytay last December 15, 2023;

WHEREAS, Barangay Captain Roseller Z. Valera of Barangay San Juan was elected as the New Liga ng mga Barangay President and shall assume the Office after he took his oath;

WHEREAS, the new LnB President, serving as an Ex-officio Member of the 12th Sangguniang Bayan shall assume the committee chairpersonship of the previous LnB President, namely: the Committee on Barangay Affairs and the Committee on Trade, Commerce and Industry, likewise he shall assume all other committee membership of the previous LnB President;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, to RECOGNIZE THE NEWLY ELECTED LIGA NG MGA BARANGAY PRESIDENT ROSELLER Z. VALERA, PUNONG BARANGAY OF BARANGAY SAN JUAN, AS EX-OFFICIO MEMBER OF THE 12TH SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF TAYTAY, RIZAL.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the copy of Oath of Office of the newly elected Liga ng mga Barangay President form part of this Resolution.

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and guidance.

ADOPTED, this 20th day of December 2023, 11:38 AM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
