Resolution No. 323 series of 2023

A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE NEWLY ELECTED SK FEDERATION PRESIDENT JANINAH OLIVIENNE D.L. MERCADO AS EX-OFFICIO MEMBER OF THE 12TH SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF TAYTAY, RIZAL

WHEREAS, Section 438(a) of RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991 states that: “A Sanggunian Kabataan chairman shall, upon certification of his election by the Comelec and during his tenure of office is elected as pederasyon president, serve as an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Bayan, without need of further appointment”;

WHEREAS, the Barangay and SK Election was held last October 30, 2023;

WHEREAS, an orientation was held by the Taytay Youth Development Office for the newly elected SK Officials of Taytay, Rizal last November 9, 2023;

WHEREAS, an orientation and election for the Officials of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Taytay, Rizal was conducted by the DILG Taytay last November 13, 2023;

WHEREAS, SK Chairperson Janinah Olivienne D.L. Mercado of Barangay San Juan was elected as the New SK Federation President and shall assume the Office after she took her oath;

WHEREAS, the new SK Federation President, serving as an Ex-officio Member of the 12th Sangguniang Bayan shall assume the committee chairpersonship of the previous SK Federation President, namely: the Committee on Youth and Sports Development and the Committee on Information and Communications Technology, likewise she shall assume all other committee membership of the previous SK Federation President;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, to RECOGNIZE THE NEWLY ELECTED SK FEDERATION PRESIDENT JANINAH OLIVIENNE D.L. MERCADO AS EX-OFFICIO MEMBER OF THE 12TH SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF TAYTAY, RIZAL.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and guidance.

ADOPTED, this 15th day of November 2023, 2:21 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
