Resolution No. 527 series of 2024

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR, HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH B612 DESIGN INNOVATION LABS, INC., FOR LIMITLESSGOV: HUMAN-CENTERED AND AI-POWERED GOOD GOVERNANCE

WHEREAS, the Philippine public sector faces challenges in ensuring good governance, effective civic engagement, and efficient service delivery, requiring innovative and technology-driven approaches;

WHEREAS, LimitlessGov: Human-Centered and AI-Powered Good Governance, initiated by B612 Design Innovation Labs, Inc., aims to integrate design thinking and artificial intelligence (AI) into public governance to modernize public service delivery and enhance governance processes;

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Taytay recognizes the importance of empowering its Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Officers and local leaders to adopt innovative practices, consistent with the principles of good governance enshrined in Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991) and Republic Act No. 10742 (Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act);

WHEREAS, the partnership between the Municipality of Taytay and B612 Design Innovation Labs, Inc. includes activities such as online courses, in-person workshops, capstone projects, and community building, which are essential to addressing local governance challenges and fostering innovation;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to authorize the Municipal Mayor to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize this partnership and facilitate the successful implementation of the LimitlessGov program in the Municipality of Taytay;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, to AUTHORIZE THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR, HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH B612 DESIGN INNOVATION LABS, INC., FOR LIMITLESSGOV: HUMAN-CENTERED AND AI-POWERED GOOD GOVERNANCE.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Office of the Municipal Mayor and B612 Design Innovation Labs, Inc., for their information and guidance.

ADOPTED, this 11th day of December 2024, 3:03 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
