A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT (GAD) PLAN AND BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025 AMOUNTING TO ONE HUNDRED FOUR MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE PESOS AND SEVEN CENTAVOS (PHP 104,790,339.07) OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL
WHEREAS, Section 16 of R.A. No. 7160 provides that “[e]very local government unit shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as powers necessary, appropriate, or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare”;
WHEREAS, the GAD Plan and Budget 2025 was formulated pursuant to and in accordance to Republic Act No. 7192 or Magna Carta of Women and the Joint Memorandum Circular 2016-01 of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA);
WHEREAS, the amount of One Hundred Four Million Seven Hundred Ninety Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-Nine Pesos and Seven Centavos (Php 104,790,339.07) represent 5.24% of the total budget of the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal for FY 2025;
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Taytay identified priority gender issues, formulated programs, projects and activities (PPAs) to be included in the Municipality’s Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget for the Year 2025;
WHEREAS, the GAD Budget was prepared based on the estimated costs of functions and PPAs translated from the demands / commitments identified in the GAD Plan;
WHEREAS, the DILG has issued last May 16, 2024, a Certificate of Review and Endorsement certifying that the GAD Plan and Budget (GPB) for FY 2025 of the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal is fully compliant to the guidelines on the Magna Carta of Women (MCW);
WHEREAS, the GAD Budget which is the source for the implementation of the GAD Plan all form part of the Municipality’s Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2025;
WHEREAS, to ensure the delivery of utmost Serbisyong May Ngiti, the allocation of funds for Gender and Development programs and projects are necessary;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby APPROVES AND ADOPTS THE GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT (GAD) PLAN AND BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025 AMOUNTING TO ONE HUNDRED FOUR MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE PESOS AND SEVEN CENTAVOS (PHP 104,790,339.07) OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Office of the Mayor, and all concerned Offices for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 13th day of September 2024, 7:26 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
