A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE LOCAL COUNCIL FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN RESOLUTION NO. 01 SERIES OF 2024 ENTITLED “A RESOLUTION APPROVING PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTION FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE VICTIMS OF CALAMITY AND/OR DISASTER”
WHEREAS, Mental Health is one of the basic rights as well as a fundamental right of every Filipino people who require mental health services as stated by Mental Health Act of 2018 also known as Republic Act No. 11036;
WHEREAS, Psychological impact does not occur only in neglect or abused it may also experience it through calamities and disaster specifically during typhoons, earthquakes and fire that may cause trauma, anxiety or depression;
WHEREAS, the Municipality have experienced different types of calamities and disaster that cause severe emotional and psychological impacts on every family, especially the children, that leads to different type of mental health issues;
WHEREAS, psychological intervention would be a great help for those families and their children to mitigate the adverse effect of calamities and disaster they have experienced and providing support and comfort to overcome their traumatic experience;
WHEREAS, this type of intervention has been recognized and recommended by international organization, such as UNICEF, and has been implemented in other places or countries that becomes an essential component of child protection and emergency response program;
WHEREAS, in order to continuously provide utmost Serbisyong May Ngiti to our constituents, this psychological intervention will be a good start in showing to the victims of calamity and disaster our eagerness in helping them to start a new life for a better future;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, hereby ADOPTS THE LOCAL COUNCIL FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN RESOLUTION NO. 01 SERIES OF 2024 ENTITLED “A RESOLUTION APPROVING PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVENTION FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE VICTIMS OF CALAMITY AND/OR DISASTER”.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution shall be furnished to all concerned for their information and guidance.
ADOPTED, this 6th day of December 2024, 2:22 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
