A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA TO GRANT ASSISTANCE FOR COOPERATIVE REPRESENTATIVES OF TAYTAY, RIZAL TO THE 19TH SOUTHERN TAGALOG COOPERATIVE CONGRESS WITH THE THEME: KOOPERATIBANG MATATAG AT MALAKAS, PUNDASYON SA BAGONG PILIPINAS
WHEREAS, Section 16 of R.A. 7160 or the General Welfare clause of the Local Government Code of 1991 states “that every local government unit shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as powers necessary, appropriate, or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare”;
WHEREAS, Section 36 of the same Code points out the “Assistance to People’s and Non-Government Organizations - A local government unit may, through its local chief executive and with the concurrence of the Sanggunian concerned, provide assistance, financial or otherwise, to such people’s and non-governmental organizations for economic, socially-oriented, environmental, or cultural projects to be implemented within its territorial jurisdiction”;
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 11502 s. 2020 declared the Month of October of Every Year as the “National Cooperative Month”;
WHEREAS, the Southern Tagalog Regional Cooperative Development Council (STaRCDC), in collaboration with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), together with the Rizal Provincial Cooperative Development Council will be conducting 19th Southern Tagalog Cooperative Congress on October 2-4, 2024 at Ynares Event Center, Antipolo City, Province of Rizal;
WHEREAS, the Municipal Cooperative Development Council (MCDC) of Taytay, Rizal would like to send 9 participants to the said activity;
WHEREAS, the MCDC would like to request the Municipal Mayor for assistance in the payment of registration fee amounting to Php 5,000.00 with P 1,500.00 cash allowance and P 750.00 for uniform for every participants from Taytay, Rizal with a total of P 65,250.00;
WHEREAS, paid registration fee shall be charged to the general fund, maintenance and other operating expenses of the Office of the Mayor, and shall be subject to liquidation, and necessary documents shall be submitted to the Municipal Treasurer’s Office and Municipal Accounting Office;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby REQUESTS THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA TO GRANT ASSISTANCE FOR COOPERATIVE REPRESENTATIVES OF TAYTAY, RIZAL TO THE 19TH SOUTHERN TAGALOG COOPERATIVE CONGRESS WITH THE THEME: KOOPERATIBANG MATATAG AT MALAKAS, PUNDASYON SA BAGONG PILIPINAS.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 11th day of September 2024, 5:38 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
