Resolution No. 436 series of 2024

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE, HON. MAYOR ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE FOR THE EFFECTIVE ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, RIZAL

WHEREAS, the 1987 Philippine Constitution, Article II Section 5 thereof, declares that: “The maintenance of peace and order, the protection of life, liberty and property, and promotion of the general welfare are essential for the enjoyment by all the people of the blessings of democracy”;

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal recognizes the importance of maintaining peace and order, and safety on its roads through the strict enforcement of traffic rules and regulations;

WHEREAS, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) is tasked to register motor vehicles, issue driver’s / conductor’s licenses and permits, enforce transportation laws, rules and regulations and adjudicate apprehension cases;

WHEREAS, it is imperative to establish a formal agreement between the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal, and the LTO to ensure the seamless exchange of information and cooperation in enforcing traffic laws;

WHEREAS, this shall emphasize the importance of strict reporting of violation records to the LTO, ensuring that individuals apprehended within Taytay are duly reflected in their records, thus contributing to a more comprehensive enforcement system;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby AUTHORIZES THE LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE, HON. MAYOR ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE FOR THE EFFECTIVE ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, RIZAL.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Office of the Municipal Mayor, and all concerned offices in the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal.

ADOPTED, this 17th day of July 2024, 4:13 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
