A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO BY THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY REPRESENTED BY THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, AND THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD) REPRESENTED BY MR. BARRY R. CHUA, MD., REGIONAL DIRECTOR, RELATIVE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL FEEDING PROGRAM AND MILK FEEDING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the 12th Sangguniang Bayan had adopt Resolution No. 408 series of 2024 entitled: “A Resolution Authorizing our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Allan Martine S. De Leon, MPA, in behalf of the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Field Office IV-A, through their Representative Mr. Barry R. Chua, MD., Regional Director, for the implementation of Supplemental Feeding Program and Milk Feeding Program”;
WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) has been entered into by and between the DSWD and the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal for the efficient implementation of the Supplemental Feeding Program and Milk Feeding Program within the locality;
WHEREAS, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) implements the Supplemental Feeding Program and Milk Feeding Program as part of its commitment to improve the nutritional status of children enrolled in the Child Development Centers (CDCs) and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNPs);
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal, recognizing the importance of child nutrition and welfare, has expressed its full support for the implementation of said programs;
WHEREAS, the ratification of the Memorandum of Agreement signed and entered into by the parties will pave way for the full implementation of the Supplemental Feeding Program and Milk Feeding Program that will improve the nutritional status of those children enrolled in Child Development Centers (CDCs) and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNPs);
WHEREAS, in order to provide the utmost service to our constituents especially those undernourished children in public Day Care or Day Care Centers, Kindergarten and Elementary School, it is deemed necessary to ratify the said agreement to ensure the continuing implementation of the Supplemental Feeding Program and Milk Feeding Program within the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby RATIFIES THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO BY THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY REPRESENTED BY THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, AND THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD) REPRESENTED BY MR. BARRY R. CHUA, MD., REGIONAL DIRECTOR, RELATIVE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL FEEDING PROGRAM AND MILK FEEDING PROGRAM.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the DSWD, the Municipal Mayor, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and other concerned offices for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 24th day of April 2025, 4:56 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
