Resolution No. 312 series of 2023
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR, ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, TO SIGN AND ENTER INTO A DEED OF DONATION WITH ROBINSONS LAND CORPORATION FOR THE ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Section 15 of Republic Act (“R.A.”) No. 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991 states that Local Government Units, “shall exercise powers as a political subdivision of the national government and as a corporate entity representing the inhabitants of its territory”;
WHEREAS, Section 444(b)(1) of R.A. No. 7160 also provides that the Municipal Mayor shall “exercise general supervision and control over all programs, projects, services, and activities of the municipal government”;
WHEREAS, Section 444(b)(1)(vi) of R.A. No. 7160, provides that the Municipal Mayor, upon authorization by the Sangguniang Bayan, may represent the municipality in all its business transactions and sign on its behalf all bonds, contracts, and obligations, and such other documents made pursuant to law or ordinance;
WHEREAS, Robinsons Land Corporation, a corporation duly organized and existing under Philippine laws, offered to donate to the Municipal Government of Taytay the improvement of the road lot located in Gomez St., Brgy. San Juan, Taytay, Rizal, by shouldering its cost, and oversee its construction to enable trade, help attract investments, support local businesses, secure the safe transportation of people, goods, and services in connecting homes, businesses, schools, hospitals and other key locations in the area, and to directly contribute to economic development in the area;
WHEREAS, the Municipal Government accepts the donation of Robinsons Land Corporation with goal of providing overall growth and development to the lives and livelihood of Taytayeños;
WHEREAS, in order to properly perform the duties of the Municipal Government enshrining the principle of Serbisyong May Ngiti, the signing of said Deed of Donation is necessary;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, to AUTHORIZE THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR, ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, TO SIGN AND ENTER INTO A DEED OF DONATION WITH ROBINSONS LAND CORPORATION FOR THE ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Office of the Municipal Mayor, and all concerned offices in the Municipal Government of Taytay.
RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of the Deed of Donation shall be forwarded to the Office of the Municipal Mayor, and all concerned offices in the Municipal Government of Taytay.
ADOPTED, this 25th day of October 2023, 3:09 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
