Resolution No. 554 series of 2025

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE LOCAL COUNCIL FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN (LCPC) RESOLUTION NO. 01, SERIES OF 2025, ENTITLED: “A RESOLUTION FOR THE AMENDMENT OF THE CHILDREN’S WELFARE CODE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, RIZAL”

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal, upholds the fundamental rights of children as enshrined in the Philippine Constitution, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and other relevant national laws and policies;

WHEREAS, the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) of the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal, has carefully reviewed and recommended necessary amendments to the existing Children’s Welfare Code to strengthen policies, programs, and services for the protection and welfare of children within the municipality;

WHEREAS, the amendments proposed by the LCPC aim to address emerging concerns affecting children, ensure alignment with national and international standards, and enhance the implementation of child protection measures;

WHEREAS, the national laws and policies that need to be incorporated to the existing Children’s Code of the Municipality of Taytay are those updated provisions from newly enacted laws that pertain to the protection, education and the well-being of children;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, recognizes the significance of adopting the LCPC Resolution No. 01, series of 2025, to institutionalize these amendments and further promote the best interests of children;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, hereby ADOPTS THE LOCAL COUNCIL FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN (LCPC) RESOLUTION NO. 01, SERIES OF 2025, ENTITLED: “A RESOLUTION FOR THE AMENDMENT OF THE CHILDREN’S WELFARE CODE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, RIZAL”.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the copy of this Resolution shall be furnished to all concerned for their information and guidance.

ADOPTED, this 5th day of February 2025, 2:27 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
