Resolution No. 379 series of 2024

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING CASIMIRO A. YNARES SR. MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL’S OFFICIAL PUBLICATION “THE ECHOES” AND “ANG SIPOL” AND THEIR JOURNALISTS AND ADVISERS FOR QUALIFYING FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE 2024 AND FOR WINNING IN THE REGIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE 2024

WHEREAS, in accordance with Republic Act 7079, also known as the Campus Journalism Act of 1991, which supports the expansion and improvement of campus media, the annual Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) was organized;

WHEREAS, students from various school divisions in Region IV-A CALABARZON participated in the 2024 RSPC, which took place from February 27 to March 2, among them were members of the official publishing teams of CAYSMNHS, “The Echoes” and “Ang Sipol”;

WHEREAS, Casimiro A. Ynares, Sr. Memorial National High School’s The Echoes, the official English publication of CAYS, bagged several awards at the recently conducted RSPC, under the supervision of their school paper adviser, Ms. Joy Avelino, namely:

National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) Qualifier
- Second Place - Editorial Section
- Sixth Place - Features Section
- Sixth Place - Page and Layout Section
- Sixth Place - Science and Technology Section
- Top 10 - Sports Section

WHEREAS, likewise, Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial National High School’s Ang Sipol, the official Filipino publication of CAYS, bagged several awards at the recently conducted RSPC, under the supervision of their school paper adviser, Ms. Kathleya Pablo, namely:

National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) Qualifier
- First Place - Page and Layout Design
- Fourth Place - Science and Technology Section
- Top 10 - News Section

WHEREAS, members of the Special Program in Journalism of CAYS have also exhibited their writing prowess for the individual and group categories during the RSPC, they are:

WHEREAS, The Echoes and Ang Sipol’s student-journalists and their advisers have brought pride and honor not just to the Municipality of Taytay but to the Province of Rizal as well, thus deserving this commendation;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, hereby COMMENDS AND CONGRATULATES CASIMIRO A. YNARES SR. MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL’S OFFICIAL PUBLICATION “THE ECHOES” AND “ANG SIPOL” AND THEIR JOURNALISTS AND ADVISERS FOR QUALIFYING FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE 2024 AND FOR WINNING IN THE REGIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE 2024.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned offices for their information.

ADOPTED, this 13th day of March 2024, 3:35 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
