Resolution No. 314 series of 2023

A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONVERSION OF BENJAMIN B. ESGUERRA MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL INTO AN INTEGRATED SCHOOL BEARING ITS NEW NAME: BENJAMIN B. ESGUERRA INTEGRATED SCHOOL

WHEREAS, the Benjamin B. Esguerra Memorial National High School (BBEMNHS) in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal is currently implementing this academic year the Senior High School Program along with its Junior High School Program and it is necessary to formally convert the said institution into an Integrated School;

WHEREAS, the Department of Education issued Department Order No. 40 series of 2014 and section VI.B.4.b.4.a. states that a “Sangguniang Bayan Resolution supporting the conversation of school into an Integrated School, duly approved by the Municipal Mayor, indicating therein the proposed name of the school” is a requirement to formalize the conversion of the said school;

WHEREAS, the Principal of BBEMNHS, Ms. Maria Asuncion C. Sierra, Ed. D. wrote a letter dated 23 October 2023 requesting the Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay for a resolution that will prompt the conversion of the high school which was established in 1996 into an integrated school that will accept students from grades 7 to 12;

WHEREAS, the Local School Board on its regular board meeting affirmed the body’s full support to the establishment of the 1st batch of DepEd supervised schools in Taytay to be converted into an integrated school to better serve the students residing from the barangay where the school is located;

WHEREAS, the Local Government Unit of Taytay under the leadership of Mayor Allan Martine S. De Leon, MPA and the 12th Sangguniang Bayan express their full support to the conversion of Benjamin B. Esguerra Memorial National High School into its new name and classification as Benjamin B. Esguerra Integrated School;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby SUPPORTS THE CONVERSION OF BENJAMIN B. ESGUERRA MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL INTO AN INTEGRATED SCHOOL BEARING ITS NEW NAME: BENJAMIN B. ESGUERRA INTEGRATED SCHOOL.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Office of the Mayor, DepEd Taytay Sub Office, the school’s Principal and other concerned offices for their information and perusal.

ADOPTED, this 25th day of October 2023, 3:11 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
