Resolution No. 393 series of 2024
RESOLUTION RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING MAYOR ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE ALLOWANCES AND INCENTIVES OF BONAFIDE TAYTAYEÑO ATHLETES REPRESENTING THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY IN OFFICIAL COMPETITIONS AT THE PROVINCIAL, REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVELS
WHEREAS, Article II, Sec. 17 of the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines states that “The State shall give priority to education, science and technology, arts, culture, and sports to foster patriotism and nationalism, accelerate social progress, and promote total human liberation and development.”;
WHEREAS, Article XIV, Sec. 19(1), of the same constitution states that “the State shall promote physical education and encourage sports programs, league competitions, and amateur sports, including training for international competitions, to foster self-discipline, teamwork, and excellence for the development of a healthy and alert citizenry”;
WHEREAS, athletes from various sports teams who represent the Municipality of Taytay in numerous sports events have remarkably performed well and are constantly developing their full potential with the aid of the Taytay Sports Development Office;
WHEREAS, providing allowances and incentives to our athletes as added support from the Local Government Unit of Taytay under the leadership of Mayor Allan De Leon and the Sangguniang Bayan will motivate them more to constantly strive for excellence as they represent our municipality in various competitions, whether locally or internationally;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, hereby RESPECTFULLY REQUESTS MAYOR ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE ALLOWANCES AND INCENTIVES OF BONAFIDE TAYTAYEÑO ATHLETES REPRESENTING THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY IN OFFICIAL COMPETITIONS AT THE PROVINCIAL, REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVELS.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned offices for their information.
ADOPTED, this 17th day of April 2024, 6:14 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
