Resolution No. 410 series of 2024

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE PROVINCIAL ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICE TO ASSIST THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF TAYTAY IN PROFILING TREES WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY THAT MIGHT IMPOSE DANGER TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC OR MIGHT REQUIRE PROPER RESTORATION AND/OR MANAGEMENT

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Taytay have trees, some are more than a century-old, that may require restoration and/or proper management;

WHEREAS, the municipality, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, needs assistance in terms of identifying trees that may require restoration, pruning, trimming, or cutting;

WHEREAS, the municipality, likewise, needs professional assistance in ensuring that trees within its jurisdiction are properly managed, well-maintained and will not impose danger to the general public;

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 752 s. 2022, An Ordinance Regulating the Application of all Entities for Tree Cutting, Trimming, Pruning, and/or Earth-Balling Permits and Licenses from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Office within the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal, shall still be properly observed and this collaborative initiative with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources shall complement with the implementation of the local ordinance;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, hereby REQUESTS THE PROVINCIAL ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICE TO ASSIST THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF TAYTAY IN PROFILING TREES WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY THAT MIGHT IMPOSE DANGER TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC OR MIGHT REQUIRE PROPER RESTORATION AND/OR MANAGEMENT.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished and forwarded to all concerned for their information and appropriate action.

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that all residents of the municipality are also encouraged to report any tree within the municipality that may require immediate attention to prevent any possible danger.

ADOPTED, this 29th day of May 2024, 2:08 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
