A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OUR LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE, HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, IN BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, RIZAL TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD), FIELD OFFICE IV-A, THROUGH THEIR REPRESENTATIVE, MR. BARRY R. CHUA, MD., REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR THE PROVISION OF TECHNICAL AND RELIEF AUGMENTATION ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Field Offices is mandated to provide technical and relief augmentation assistance and support to Local Government Units (LGUs) to ensure timely and efficient delivery of social protection and disaster response services;
WHEREAS, the DSWD seeks to formalize its partnership with Local Government Units through the execution of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to strengthen disaster preparedness, response mechanisms, and the delivery of social welfare services;
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Taytay, Rizal recognizes the need for continuous collaboration with the DSWD in enhancing its capacity to provide immediate relief and technical support to its constituents, especially during times of calamity and emergency;
WHEREAS, the said Memorandum of Agreement will allow the LGU to access vital resources, training, and logistical support from the DSWD, thereby strengthening the local government’s disaster risk reduction and response capabilities;
WHEREAS, the DSWD shall preposition emergency Food and Non-Food relief items to LGU designated relief warehousing facility as emergency relief augmentation to the LGU emergency response preparedness measure and they shall also provide technical assistance to the Municipal Government on proper warehouse and inventory management;
WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Taytay, Rizal shall identify a warehouse based on DSWD standard suitable for storage of prepositioned food and non-food items and shall designate an authorized representative in all relative concerns;
WHEREAS, this Memorandum of Agreement outlined also the obligations of the parties in distributing, disbursing and disposing prepositioned relief items or goods of the DSWD to be used exclusively during disasters, calamities or emergencies;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby AUTHORIZES OUR LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE, HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA, IN BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, RIZAL TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD), FIELD OFFICE IV-A, THROUGH THEIR REPRESENTATIVE, MR. BARRY R. CHUA, MD., REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR THE PROVISION OF TECHNICAL AND RELIEF AUGMENTATION ASSISTANCE.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the duly signed Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Field Office IV-A shall be ratified first by the members of the Sangguniang Bayan before its full implementation.
RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned offices for their information and appropriate action
