A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY REPRESENTED BY THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON AND THE 80TH INFANTRY (STEADFAST) BATTALION, 2ND INFANTRY DIVISION, PHILIPPINE ARMY REPRESENTED BY ITS COMMANDING OFFICER LTC MARK ANTHONY U. RUBY, INF (GSC) PA, FOR THE STRENGTHENING OF THE EFFORTS TO END LOCAL COMMUNIST ARMED CONFLICTS AND THE DECLARATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY AS A LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT WITH STABLE INTERNAL PEACE AND SECURITY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Section 16 of the Local Government Code states that, “Every local government unit shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as powers necessary, appropriate, or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare”;
WHEREAS, the Local Chief Executive of the Municipality of Taytay, Hon. Allan Martine S. De Leon is authorized to sign and enter into a Memorandum of Agreement and/or Understanding through Resolution No. 25 series of 2022;
WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Municipality of Taytay and the 80th Infantry Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Philippines Army was signed on December 11, 2023;
WHEREAS, the ratification of the MOU will benefit the Municipality of Taytay as this will help in maintaining peace and order in the municipality;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby RATIFIES THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY REPRESENTED BY THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON AND THE 80TH INFANTRY (STEADFAST) BATTALION, 2ND INFANTRY DIVISION, PHILIPPINE ARMY REPRESENTED BY ITS COMMANDING OFFICER LTC MARK ANTHONY U. RUBY, INF (GSC) PA, FOR THE STRENGTHENING OF THE EFFORTS TO END LOCAL COMMUNIST ARMED CONFLICTS AND THE DECLARATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY AS A LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT WITH STABLE INTERNAL PEACE AND SECURITY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 17th day of January 2024, 2:26 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
