Resolution No. 335 series of 2023

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATOR, ATTY. ALDRICK DAVEN M. MENDOZA AND MUNICIPAL TREASURER, HERLITO A. BASCO, TO REPRESENT AND SIGN FOR THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, ALL INTERNET CONNECTION AND MOBILE POSTPAID PLANS WITH DIFFERENT TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER AND COMPANIES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

WHEREAS, Section 4(a) Article II of Republic Act No. 7925 otherwise known as the Public Telecommunications Policy Act of the Philippines provides that, “Telecommunications is essential to the economic development, integrity and security of the Philippines, and as such shall be developed and administered as to safeguard, enrich and strength the economic, cultural, social and political fabric of the Philippines. It is a fundamental objective of government to develop and maintain a viable, efficient, reliable and universal telecommunication infrastructure using the best available and affordable technologies as a vital tool to nation building and development”;

WHEREAS, Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 160 series of 2023 adopted last February 1, 2023 granted the authority to the previous Municipal Administrator and signatory Atty. Soliman Allen V. Bautista, however, a new Municipal Administrator has been appointed and designated on August 1, 2023 in lieu of Atty. Bautista;

WHEREAS, a new resolution authorizing the new Municipal Administrator, Atty. Aldrick Daven. M. Mendoza, to sign for the Municipal Government of Taytay, Province of Rizal, all internet connection and mobile postpaid plans with different telecommunications and internet service provider and companies is hereby necessary;

WHEREAS, consistent with the goal of providing Serbisyong May Ngiti to all Taytayeños, the issuance of Sangguniang Bayan Resolution is needed to update the authorized signatories for all internet connection and mobile postpaid plan transactions, thereby granting the Municipal Government access to various means of communication and information;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session hereby assembled, to AUTHORIZE THE MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATOR, ATTY. ALDRICK DAVEN M. MENDOZA AND MUNICIPAL TREASURER, HERLITO A. BASCO, TO REPRESENT AND SIGN FOR THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL, ALL INTERNET CONNECTION AND MOBILE POSTPAID PLANS WITH DIFFERENT TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER AND COMPANIES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and appropriate action.

ADOPTED, this 1st day of December 2023, 2:38 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
