A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH,
HON. SENATOR LAWRENCE “BONG” GO AND THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF RIZAL THROUGH HONORABLE GOVERNOR NINA RICCI YNARES TO ESTABLISH A MALASAKIT CENTER AT THE RIZAL PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL SYSTEM - TAYTAY (RPHS - TAYTAY)
WHEREAS, on August 26, 2023, the Rizal Provincial Hospital System - Taytay was inaugurated and opened to serve and cater to health needs of the public;
WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 11463 established Malasakit Centers in all DOH hospitals and the PGH in consonance with the policy of the State to improve the delivery of health care services to the people, and to ensure ï¬nancial access to and efï¬ciency in the process of availing medical and financial assistance to fund health services;
WHEREAS, Section 6 of Republic Act No. 11463 as well as Section 6.4 of its implementing rules and regulations (IRR) provide that local government units (LGUs) and other public hospitals may establish Malasakit Centers: Provided, that said hospitals meet the following standards and criteria:
(1) Guarantee the availability of funds for the operations of the Malasakit Centers, including its maintenance and other operating expenses, Personnel complement including staff training, performance assessment and monitoring;
(2) Ensure the adoption of the integrated people-centered health services; and
(3) Comply with other requirements to be prescribed by the DOH regarding service capacity and capability, location, among others.
WHEREAS, the establishment of a Malasakit Center at the Rizal Provincial Hospital System - Taytay will facilitate the better delivery of health services to patients who are conï¬ned or seek medical attention at the RPHS - Taytay;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, to REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, HON. SENATOR LAWRENCE “BONG” GO AND THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF RIZAL THROUGH HONORABLE GOVERNOR NINA RICCI YNARES TO ESTABLISH A MALASAKIT CENTER AT THE RIZAL PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL SYSTEM - TAYTAY (RPHS - TAYTAY).
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Department of Health, the Office of Senator Lawrence “Bong” Go and the Office of Honorable Governor Nina Ricci Ynares and all other offices concerned.
ADOPTED, this 4th day of October 2023, 5:46 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
