A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE TAYTAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (TDC) RESOLUTION NO. 2024 – 002 ENTITLED: “A RESOLUTION REVERSING THE CONTINUING APPROPRIATION AND ALLOCATING THE FUNDS THEREOF AND THE 2023 SURPLUS UNDER THE 20% DEVELOPMENT FUND TO FUND VARIOUS PROJECTS / PROGRAMS FOR THE MUNICIPALITY”, AMOUNTING TO THIRTY-EIGHT MILLION TWO HUNDRED SEVEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-SEVEN PESOS AND SIXTY-EIGHT CENTAVOS (PHP 38,207,357.68)
WHEREAS, Section 16 of the General Welfare Clause of RA 7160 provides in part that every local government unit shall exercise powers necessary for its efficient and effective governance and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare;
WHEREAS, there is an amount of Thirty-Eight Million Two Hundred Seven Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-Seven Pesos and Sixty-Eight Centavos (Php 38,207,357.68) from the Unappropriated Surplus and Continuing Appropriation under the 20% Development Fund;
WHEREAS, the reversion of funds from the Continuing Appropriation under the 20% Development Fund is considered necessary in order to utilize the above subject funds;
WHEREAS, submitted to the Honorable August Body is TDC Resolution No. 2024 – 002 for approval and ratification;
WHEREAS, during the Taytay Development Council (TDC) meeting, the members of the council agreed for the reversion of funds from the Continuing Appropriation under the 20% Development Fund, to wit:

TOTAL P 20,819,720.73
WHEREAS, the Municipal Accountant attested that there is an unappropriated surplus for 2023:
Unappropriated Surplus from 2023 P 17,387,636.95
WHEREAS, the members of the TDC Council agreed for the reversion of funds from the Continuing Appropriation and appropriating the funds thereof and the identified 2023 Surplus under the 20% Development Fund to fund the following projects / programs, to wit:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, to APPROVE AND RATIFY THE TAYTAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (TDC) RESOLUTION NO. 2024 – 002 ENTITLED: “A RESOLUTION REVERSING THE CONTINUING APPROPRIATION AND ALLOCATING THE FUNDS THEREOF AND THE 2023 SURPLUS UNDER THE 20% DEVELOPMENT FUND TO FUND VARIOUS PROJECTS / PROGRAMS FOR THE MUNICIPALITY”, AMOUNTING TO THIRTY-EIGHT MILLION TWO HUNDRED SEVEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-SEVEN PESOS AND SIXTY-EIGHT CENTAVOS (PHP 38,207,357.68).
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 13th day of June 2024, 4:13 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
