Resolution No. 490 series of 2024

A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND GRANTING BENEFITS AND INCENTIVE TO QUALIFIED RESIDENT CENTENARIAN IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL

WHEREAS, under Republic Act No. 10868 otherwise known as “The Centenarian Act of 2016” provides grants among other thing, cash award to all centenarian chargeable against the national funds in addition to Letter of Felicitation from the President of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, every centenarian in a community is consider as role model of longevity and aging that should be given respect and recognition as well as a reward considering the modern lifestyle of many Filipinos;

WHEREAS, this Sanggunian praises and lauds all centenarian residents of the Municipality for achieving a milestone of living 100 years and beyond which reflects the rigid persistence and self-discipline towards a healthy lifestyle to be qualified as a recipient of the centenarian gifts and privileges conferred by the national government;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Taytay, Rizal under the leadership of Mayor Allan Martine S. De Leon, acknowledges the significance of living centenarian citizens in the municipality and therefore deems that appropriate honor and reward be rightfully accorded to them;

WHEREAS, in order to continuously provide utmost Serbisyong May Ngiti to all Taytayeño, particularly to all centenarians, through prompt and untirable public service, this Sangguniang Bayan Resolution is being issued;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby RECOGNIZES AND GRANTS BENEFITS AND INCENTIVE TO QUALIFIED RESIDENT CENTENARIAN IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the amount to be given to the Centenarian Awardee is Fifty Thousand Pesos (Php 50,000.00).

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and appropriate action.

ADOPTED, this 2nd day of October 2024, 3:00 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
