Resolution No. 429 series of 2024
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA TO GRANT ASSISTANCE FOR YOUTH REPRESENTATIVES OF TAYTAY TO THE KOOP
WHEREAS, Section 16 of R.A. 7160 or the General Welfare clause of the Local Government Code of 1991 states “that every local government unit shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well as powers necessary, appropriate, or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare”;
WHEREAS, Section 36 of the same Code points out the “Assistance to People’s and Non-Government Organizations - A local government unit may, through its local chief executive and with the concurrence of the sanggunian concerned, provide assistance, financial or otherwise, to such people’s and non-governmental organizations for economic, socially-oriented, environmental, or cultural projects to be implemented within its territorial jurisdiction”;
WHEREAS, the Rizal Provincial Cooperative Development Council (RPCDC), in collaboration with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), together with the Liga ng Cooperative Development Officers ng Pilipinas (LCDOP) Rizal Chapter, National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO), and the Most Holy Rosary MPC will be conducting Koop Lab Fiesta: Youth Camp on July 15 – 16, 2024 at Bakasyunan Resort and Conference Center, Sitio Balimbing, Brgy. Plaza Aldea, Tanay, Rizal;
WHEREAS, the Municipal Cooperative Development Council (MCDC) of Taytay would like to send 20 participants to the said activity;
WHEREAS, the MCDC would like to request the Municipal Mayor for assistance in the payment of registration fees amounting to Php 2,500.00 with Php 1,000.00 cash allowance for every participants from Taytay, Rizal with a total amount of Php 70,000.00;
WHEREAS, paid registration fee shall be charged to the general fund, maintenance and other operating expenses of the Office of the Municipal Mayor, and shall be subject to liquidation, and necessary documents shall be submitted to the Municipal Treasurer’s Office and Municipal Accounting Office;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby REQUESTS THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA TO GRANT ASSISTANCE FOR YOUTH REPRESENTATIVES OF TAYTAY TO THE KOOP LAB FIESTA: YOUTH CAMP 2024.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 10th day of July 2024, 3:49 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
