A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE TAYTAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (TDC) RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - 008 ENTITLED: “A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED THIRTY MILLION ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN PESOS AND FOURTEEN CENTAVOS (PHP 230,124,247.14) REPRESENTING THE 20% DEVELOPMENT FUND FY 2025 TO FUND THE VARIOUS PRIORITY PROJECTS / PROGRAMS FOR THE MUNICIPALITY” AND APPROVING THE 20% DEVELOPMENT FUND FY 2025
WHEREAS, Section 16 of the General Welfare Clause of RA 7160 provides in part that every local government unit shall exercise powers necessary for its efficient and effective governance and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare;
WHEREAS, Section 106 of the Local Government Code of 1991 provides that each Local Government Unit shall have a comprehensive multi-sectoral development plan to be initiated by its development council and approved by the Sanggunian Bayan;
WHEREAS, the Taytay Development Council (TDC) shall assist the Sanggunian Bayan (SB) in setting the direction of development effort within the municipality;
WHEREAS, the 20% Development Fund for the fiscal year 2025 will finance various priority projects for the Municipality;
WHEREAS, the members of the Taytay Development Council convened to formulate, discuss and approve the 20% Development Fund FY 2025;
WHEREAS, based on the Program of Works of the projects requested by the different sectors, organizations and individual to the Local Chief Executive in which he prioritized, as well as the priority projects of the Five (5) barangays, the 20% Development Fund FY 2025 that was presented during the meeting has a total amount of Two Hundred Thirty Million One Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Seven Pesos and Fourteen Centavos (Php 230,124,247.14);
WHEREAS, after some clarifications, amendments and thorough deliberations, the Taytay Development Council approved to allocate the said amount to fund the following programs / projects of the municipality, to wit:

WHEREAS, submitted and presented before the Honorable August Body for approval is the Taytay Development Council (TDC) Resolution No. 2024 - 008: “A Resolution Allocating the amount of Two Hundred Thirty Million One Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand Two Hundred Forty-Seven Pesos and Fourteen Centavos (Php 230,124,247.14) representing the 20% Development Fund FY 2025 to Fund the Various Priority Projects / Programs for the Municipality”;
WHEREAS, consistent with the goal of providing Serbisyong May Ngiti to all Taytayeños, the allocation of funds for the implementation of programs and projects of the Municipal Government is necessary;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby RATIFIES THE TAYTAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (TDC) RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - 008 ENTITLED: “A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED THIRTY MILLION ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN PESOS AND FOURTEEN CENTAVOS (PHP 230,124,247.14) REPRESENTING THE 20% DEVELOPMENT FUND FY 2025 TO FUND THE VARIOUS PRIORITY PROJECTS / PROGRAMS FOR THE MUNICIPALITY” AND APPROVES THE 20% DEVELOPMENT FUND FY 2025.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 13th day of September 2024, 7:27 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
