Resolution No. 334 series of 2023
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE, MAYOR ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA THRU THE MPSD AND STAG TO PLACE PLASTIC BARRIERS IN EVERY END OF THE EXISTING BARRICADES OF CONCRETE BARRIERS ALONG THE PRIMARY ROADS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY FOR THE SAFETY OF THE MOTORISTS TRAVERSING THOSE THOROUGHFARES
WHEREAS, median traffic barriers have been placed in major thoroughfares within the Municipality of Taytay to separate opposing trafï¬c on highways and roads and help redirect vehicles most of which are made of concrete and some are water-ï¬lled plastic barriers;
WHEREAS, there have been a number of reported road accidents along the Municipality with vehicles hitting concrete barriers and damaging the vehicles badly and hurting the drivers and/or their passengers;
WHEREAS, placing plastic barriers in every end of a barricade of currently placed traffic barriers on the roads within Taytay, Rizal can help minimize the impact of collision of the vehicles that may involve in road accidents as plastic barriers are made of lighter and less solid materials compared to concrete ones;
WHEREAS, being on the side of caution by placing plastic barriers instead of concrete barriers on every end of the traffic barricades may save lives in the event of untoward incidents that may occur;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in a session duly assembled, hereby REQUESTS THE LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE, MAYOR ALLAN MARTINE S. DE LEON, MPA THRU THE MPSD AND STAG TO PLACE PLASTIC BARRIERS IN EVERY END OF THE EXISTING BARRICADES OF CONCRETE BARRIERS ALONG THE PRIMARY ROADS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY FOR THE SAFETY OF THE MOTORISTS TRAVERSING THOSE THOROUGHFARES.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to all concerned Offices for their information and appropriate action.
ADOPTED, this 1st day of December 2023, 2:38 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
