A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT FERDINAND ROMUALDEZ MARCOS JR. FOR THE ISSUANCE OF A NEW PRESIDENTIAL PROCLAMATION DECLARING THE PRESENTLY OCCUPIED AREA OF MANGGAHAN FLOODWAY EAST AND WEST BERM SLOPE OF BARANGAY SAN JUAN AND BARANGAY STA. ANA OF THIS MUNICIPALITY, AS SOCIALIZED HOUSING PROJECT AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREOF
WHEREAS, the security of tenure of the residents of Lupang Arenda, and Manggahan Floodway East and West BERM Slope in Taytay, Rizal is still presently unsecured due to the issuance of Executive Order No. 854 by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2009 which revoked Presidential Proclamation no. 704 and Presidential Proclamation No. 1160 that declared both areas as housing projects;
WHEREAS, the review of Executive Order 854 was done between 2011 to 2012 by the National Technical Working Group (NTWG) headed by former DILG Secretary, Jesse M. Robredo, who submitted a report to the then President Benigno S. Aquino III recommending among others, the revocation of EO 854 and the return of the effectivity of the Presidential Proclamation No. 1160;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that it is the prayer of this Municipality that the areas already cleared by the NHA be expedited and prioritized to be turned over to its beneficiaries without waiting for the whole area to be cleared for turnover.
RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Office of the President, NHA and all other concerned offices for their information.
WHEREAS, the issuance of a new Presidential Proclamation by His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is deemed by the Local Government Unit of Taytay and the residents of Manggahan Floodway East and West Berm Slope of Barangays San Juan and Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal as the most convenient and expedient way to solve the problem of non-tenured settlement for our kababayans;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, by the 12th Sangguniang Bayan of Taytay, Rizal, in session duly assembled, hereby REQUESTS HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT FERDINAND ROMUALDEZ MARCOS JR. FOR THE ISSUANCE OF A NEW PRESIDENTIAL PROCLAMATION DECLARING THE PRESENTLY OCCUPIED AREA OF MANGGAHAN FLOODWAY EAST AND WEST BERM SLOPE OF BARANGAY SAN JUAN AND BARANGAY STA. ANA OF THIS MUNICIPALITY, AS SOCIALIZED HOUSING PROJECT AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREOF.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Office of the President and all other concerned offices for their information.
ADOPTED, this 5th day of June 2024, 2:25 PM at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Taytay, Province of Rizal.
